It's Sunday... we had a great meeting yesterday, with several new people showing up to learn about lightblueline and climate change. We are putting together the community-led teams of volunteers for the day and for the ongoing outreach effort.
Saturday August 11 at Six PM.
We will be meeting to discuss the proposed action day: "Drawing the Line Against Climate Change."
Here is a description of the CLUBHOUSE
This is the first ALL VOLUNTEER meeting since the project was overwhelmingly approved by the Santa Barbara City Council. We are building a volunteer community that can work toward our goal of public awareness and education about climate change science. The lightblueline will be on the streets for about five years. During this time we will find out if the societies of the planet can work together to stop global warming and keep the ocean down at the waterfront.
If you can paint, write, talk, blog, teach, learn, or simply want to find out more, come by the meeting or drop us a comment below.

Count me in too!
This is a great idea, I have been thinking of something similar to this as an overlay for Google Earth Maps. I'm all about art for activism. See ya Saturday!
Count me in!
I want to volunteer to paint the line if for no other reason than to tick off the unimaginative, head in the sand pantywaists who have been writing all those clueless and silly letters to the SB News-Press. They're the same kind of people who scoffed at climate change for the past three years, delight in shunning Darwinism and still support Bush-Cheney, the two-headed presi-duncey. I guess some folks have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
